What you'll do:
Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (IaaS / PaaS / serverless) ensuring high availability, scalability, security, disaster recovery, monitoring, and cost-optimization.
Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines; automate build, test, release, rollback, and deployment workflows.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.
Containerization and orchestration: deploy, manage, and scale container‐based workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Monitoring, observability, logging, alerting: set up tools, dashboards, SLIs/SLOs, incident response, root cause analysis.
Security & compliance: integrate security best practices into pipelines; manage IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning; ensure compliance with standards as relevant (e.g. ISO, SOC, GDPR, PCI, etc.).
Performance tuning, capacity planning and resource provisioning.
Automation of repetitive tasks, configuration management, and process improvements.
Manage cloud costs: budgeting, tracking cost metrics, identifying waste, optimizing usage.
Incident management and on-call support: respond to incidents, do post-mortems, propose improvements.
Collaborate with multiple teams (development, QA, security, operations) to align on best practices, deployment processes, SLAs, etc.
Mentor / guide junior/mid DevOps engineers or CloudOps engineers; help raise the maturity of DevOps practices in the organization.
What you need to bring:
Knowledge and Skills:
6-8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / CloudOps / SRE or similar roles.
In-depth knowledge of various cloud technologies, virtualization, networking, and storage.
Deep experience with at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS / Azure / GCP), including core services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, database, etc.).
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.).
Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE or self-managed), including experience with operators, scaling, lifecycle, upgrades.
CI/CD pipeline tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar; experience setting up pipelines that are automated, reliable, secure, fast.
Scripting / programming: Bash / Shell, Python, Go, or equivalent; able to write automation for infrastructure, deployment, monitoring.
Expertise in monitoring/logging/observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / EFK stack, Datadog, etc.
Strong understanding of networking (VPC, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, routing) in cloud and hybrid environments.
Security posture: IAM, secrets management, encryption (at rest/in transit), vulnerability assessments, compliance frameworks.
Experience in performance optimization, capacity planning, resource management, and cost control in cloud ecosystems.
Experience managing large-scale systems, high availability, disaster recovery.
Experience with hybrid / multi-cloud architectures is a plus.
Excellent problem solving, analytical thinking.
Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
