Primary Skills:
- Configuration Management: Strong hands-on experience with Ansible for building automation playbooks and blueprints.
- Cloud Platform Expertise: Daily work in AWS — provisioning, managing, and automating workloads.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, with focus on security-hardened OS images.
- Automation Scripting: Good understanding of Python (used more extensively at senior levels) for custom modules and automation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ingest application requirements and spin up AWS instances.
- Automate creation and configuration of hardened OS images/reusable blueprints.
- Integrate playbooks into pipelines.
- Convert existing application recovery PDFs into Ansible playbooks/blueprints.
- Execute destructive tests in cloud environments.
- Spin up test environments, run recovery/validation steps, and tear them down using Terraform + Ansible.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear documentation of automation workflows.
