Your key responsibilities
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish the best practices for code management and version control
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
- Automate deployment processes to reduce manual intervention and speed up release cycles
- Provide training and support to team members on Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools
- Manage and optimize resource inventory to minimize costs while meeting performance requirements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate Infrastructure as Code practices into existing workflows
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and operational procedures
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting to resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly
- Responsible for delivering the requisite level of network resiliency and for testing network failover
- Support project managers and the regional management team in project planning, tracking, and reporting when required
Your skills and experience
- 5-10 years of experience working in a corporate global network environment, ideally with financial institutions
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix: must be comfortable working with Linux and Unix-like systems, as these are commonly used in server environments
- Monitoring and Incident Management: should be skilled in using monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) to track system performance and respond to incidents effectively
- Understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, VXLAN, etc.)
- Experience with hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet or equivalent
- Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting languages like YAML, JSON, or Python
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud
- Good to have knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing requirements
- Ability to mentor resources and guide project teams
- Strict adherence to change procedures and design/configuration guidelines
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Certified technical engineer (typically Cisco CCNP or comparable)
- The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends due to business requirements
