As AWS Architect you will have multiple responsibilities depending on project type. One type of project may involve Migration of applications to be optimized for the cloud, testing and deploying for production.  Another type of project might involve automation, where you take a manual provisioning processes and code them based on a triggered event. From an operational viewpoint, your role may require setting up alarms, event trigger or dashboard to monitor AWS resource workloads. The key responsibilities may involve some or all the areas listed below:

•        In Depth knowledge of on-premises, cloud AWS, hybrid deployment and distribution for Data & Analytics

•        Develop a direction to manage the portfolio of to-be solutions in alignment with business outcomes

•        Identify problem areas, perform root cause analysis of architectural design and provide relevant solutions to the problem

•        Enable delivery teams and act as mentor by providing optimal delivery solutions with automations and frameworks for improved productivity 

•        Implement proof of concepts to validate cloud concepts, architecture and requirements.  •    Design and implement system architecture with AWS cloud services and Terraform

•        Develop automation scripts for AWS using AWS SDK, cloud formation etc.

•        Expertise in Clous Pass solutions like -S3, AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS, Redshift etc.

•        Provide technical leadership to the design, development, and implementation of custom solutions through thoughtful use of latest technologies

•        Define and understand current state solutions and identify improvements, options & tradeoffs to define target state solutions

•        Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.

•        Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

•        Exposure into broad spectrum of emerging technologies, their commercial implications and market prospects

•        Participating in pre-sales and sales support activities related to Hyperscaler and other emerging technologies

•        Implement application CI/CD pipeline, monitor and maintain multiple (DevOps) environments based on client requirements

•        Understand and document technical requirements from clients

•        Design the HA / DR strategies and oversee build of the environment & migration plans

•        Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls 

Technical Requirements

•   Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS)

•   Experience in provisioning and spinning up AWS EC2 instances - on-Demand, Spot, dedicated instances, and cost calculation.

•   Experience with server less architecture (Lambda), API gateway and RESTful services/JSON etc.

•   Experience with one or more relational databases on AWS RDS – Oracle/ SQL Server/ MySQL and/or cloud data warehouse databases such as AWS Redshift

•   Exposure to Data migration facilities such as DMS, S3 COPY, streaming, Kinesis, Batch • Experience in developing applications on AWS Cloud infrastructure.

•   Exposure to DevOps tools, deployment and orchestration technologies such as AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, AWS CodePipeline etc.

•   Experience with monitoring resources and applications using CloudWatch metrics, alarms and logs and tracking user activity, API usage using CloudTrail

•   Experience with cloud assessment and migration on-premise workloads onto AWS.

•   Expertise in AWS Architecture, Automation Tools and understanding of the agile development process.
