Role Summary
We are looking for a Director to support cloud-based Tax applications running in Microsoft Azure. This role will be part of a global team responsible for investigating complex issues, supporting deployments, and working closely with developers, operations teams, and end users.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years or more of experience in DevOps application support and a strong foundation in cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting techniques. In this role, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping the direction of client engagements, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. The position also includes managing an on-call rotation to provide support during off-hours when needed. We emphasize work-life balance and have a globally distributed support model to minimize overnight load. You will work in coordination with US and globally based counterparts and will play a critical role in providing timely support, participating in knowledge transfer sessions, and ensuring continuity across shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and technical leadership across multiple Tax solution delivery teams
Oversee the delivery of comprehensive Tax solutions, emphasizing full-stack .NET development and integration of Large Language Models (LLM), orchestrated applications
End-to-end management of application lifecycle, incident management, and troubleshooting.
Manage and own the full lifecycle of AI models and solutions, from development through deployment, monitoring, maintenance, iterative enhancement, and operational support.
Direct experiment-driven development, ensuring rapid prototyping, testing, validation, and operational excellence.
Establish and drive consistent quality control and continuous improvement of Tax solutions, closely collaborating with business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain robust stakeholder relationships, clearly communicating complex solutions and strategic implications to senior business leaders.
Promote technical innovation, process improvement, and effective methodologies across teams.
Continuously evaluate and drive adoption of emerging technologies to enhance solution capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.
Collaborate with cross functional team members to develop and propose to potential customers technical cloud-based solutions including proposals and statements of work.
Develop reference architectures and best practice approaches to optimize clients’ cloud adoption, application performance, security, and cost models.
Participate in meetings and discussions with internal and external customers.
Identify and prioritize use cases for implementation.
Identify technical requirements for the identified use cases and build an implementation plan.
Collaborate with team members and foster an environment where technical professionals can develop their skills and grow their careers; taking on increased responsibility and adding value to the organization.
Provide coaching and mentoring to fellow team members.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience, including substantial experience in a senior technical leadership role managing multiple multidisciplinary teams.
