To be successful as a Aws Cloud Engineer you should have experience with:
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure including:
- EC2, ALB/NLB, VPC, Route Tables, NAT, Security groups, Auto Scaling.
- Develop and maintain Cloud Formation templates for infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage AWS service catalog products and custom provisioning use cases.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Chef/Ansible.
- Build and manage Docker containers and orchestrate them using Kubernetes(EKS preferred).
- Solid understanding and hands on experience with CI/CD tools.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems.
- Familiarity with SSL certificates, security protocols.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- AWS certifications such as AWS Solution architect or AWS DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with terraform or other IAC tool in addition to Cloud Formation.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Elasticsearch, Prometheus.
- Ability to write scripts in Python or similar language.
