What you’ll be doing...

This job manages the back end services for Verizon Business Group public websites which run on the Amazon Web Services platform:

Primary duties:

• Daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks and updates for systems software updates and patches on websites running Next.js/React templates;

• Maintenance of Amazon Web Services cloud account, load balancers, S3 document repositories, and EC2s;

• Support of universal proxy system which serves VBG Learn and prospect ecommerce websites;

• Security support for all servers, load balancers, content management system, and web servers;

• Implementation of new technologies and code libraries to support ongoing website development projects;

• Production support of code installations;

• Support for back end systems such as email gateways, applications development environment, URL redirects and host/DNS redirects;

• Maintain the home grown cache system and the contingency fall back system between former HTL/AEM pages and new Next.js/React pages;

• Troubleshooting Enterprise load balancing, Akamai, and related WAF

• Log collection, data storage, and backups;

• Work collaboratively with a number of developer stakeholders including content management users, developers within DevOps, GTS developers and operations engineers, vendor partners such as Amazon and Contentstack, and product management developers for MEC and Thingspace;

• Support Tenable and related security software;

  • Operations custodial support for ITAM hosting.
