In this role, you will:

  • Act as a key escalation point for complex technical incidents; troubleshoot, analyze root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Follow ITIL or similar frameworks for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Document solutions and maintain an internal knowledge base to streamline future resolutions.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies, regularly testing restore processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Provide on-call support to handle production incidents and urgent technical issues as needed.
  • Coordinate and execute patch management processes for operating systems, applications, and firmware, with minimal downtime.
  • Oversee the procurement, installation, and renewal of SSL/TLS certificates for internal and external services.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices on Windows, Linux, and network infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with the security team to identify vulnerabilities, remediate findings, and maintain compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers and IIS hosted apps.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and routine health checks across both platforms.
  • Troubleshoot server performance, networking, and application-level issues in mixed environments.IIS & SharePoint Support
  • Install, configure, and maintain IIS web servers; troubleshoot performance issues, implement best practices, and ensure optimal uptime.
  • Manage SharePoint connectivity, site settings, and integrations; support upgrades, patching, and general administration.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to deploy and maintain IIS-hosted and SharePoint-based applications.
  • Support network operations (switches, routers, firewalls) in collaboration with network engineering teams.
  • Manage DNS, DHCP, and network-related policies for servers and applications.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security to ensure stable connectivity for critical services.
  • Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) to track system health, application performance, and security logs.
  • Conduct capacity planning and recommend optimizations for servers, networks, and application configurations.
  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with teams to implement improvements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including development, security, and networking—to plan and implement system changes and new technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders about system updates, incident impact, and timelines.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
