Job Description:

Linux Administrator Requirements & Skills :

perform 1st level hardware diagnostics and installation of layered products where needed.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in remote infrastructure management and 3 years linux administrator experience
•Knowledge on virtualization products and functionalities
• Should possess knowledge on security patching procedures
• Responsible for SLA compliance
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholders
• knowledge on ITIL process
• Install and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment.
• Configure specific applications in concordance with run book requirements.
• Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side issues as they arise.
• Perform OS and application upgrades and server migrations to new environment
• Maintain security and OS patch management for linux based systems
• Install and maintain agents on servers for centralized monitoring and management
• Experience with Ansible or similar tools is desired
• Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Linux based Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments,
• Utilize Linux scripting (Bourne, PERL, BASH, PowerShell, etc.) to optimize and automate system administrator tasks.
• Perform hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with MPs to minimize disruptions on L2Level.
• Knowledge on RHEL 5.6.7,8,9 , Centos 5.6.7 and Ubuntu
• Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts
