Your day to day is…

• Taking full ownership of Zocdoc’s design system, driving its evolution to meet the needs of a growing platform.
• Collaborating closely with designers to translate visual and interaction patterns into reusable, accessible components.
• Partnering with engineers to implement scalable systems that improve developer experience and product consistency.
• Ensuring accessibility standards are met and championing inclusive design practices across teams.
• Establishing best practices for design system adoption, usage, and contribution across the organization.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams to align on goals and priorities.Mentoring and supporting team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

• A passion for creating equitable, inclusive, and user-centered design systems that make a meaningful impact.
• 5+ years of meaningful experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on design systems and component libraries. 
• Expertise in modern front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Emotion or Styled Components).
• A deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards and a commitment to inclusive design.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with designers and engineers.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, ensuring all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned.
