In this role, you will:

• Experience with environment management activities like periodic UAT environment refresh, environments allocation to releases etc
• Managing regular environment forums for application stakeholders
• Experience with cloud environment is added advantage.
• Ensure and drive the environment build process in automated fashion
• Ensuring regular communication to relevant stakeholders regarding environment blockers/issues
• Execute the build automation and modules for DevOps platform and build integrations between various Devops tools
• Manage all aspects of the end to end Release Deployment process across all platforms, covering major and minor/hotfix releases,
• Ensure that Releases are managed effectively within the defined scope, with the right level of quality, controls and in a timely fashi
• Coordinate Ever-greening projects which include the application platform ever-greening (WebSphere, Database, Oracle, OS & hardware upgrades).
• Good to have infrastructure background in managing the infra related activities like server reboot, CPU Upgrade, shared infrastructure activities etc.
• SSL Certificate Upgrades and Security Patches installations/coordination on UAT/PROD servers
• Drive efficiency within the team, by identifying new and innovative ways of automating the Release deployment process, quality gates closure and Reporting
• Build effective governance forums to ensure that the release deployment process, milestone plans and progress updates are published/communicated in a consistent, timely manner and is agreed with the release managers, platform, support teams, business, upstream, prior to Production deployment.
• Execute the software application release management lifecycle steps, ensuring all applicable pre-requisites (including approvals, documentation/artefacts etc...) are satisfied at each stage.
• Working with managers across all functions/platforms to ensure acceptance of the Release deployment process, and should serve as the single point of coordination for all changes that need to be deployed into PROD, regardless of the specific technology involved
• Ensure all hotfixes/emergency changes requested by the support teams/business is thoroughly impact and risk assessed, before it’s approved for deployment.
• Assesses the impact of new change requests from a business criticality and impact standpoint and drive approval closure in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
• Proactively identifies continuous improvement opportunities and standardization for improved platform stability and service delivery
• Establishes strong working relationships with the key stakeholders to influence positive changes.
• Should possess great communication, collaborative and presentation skills to be able to effectively engage and drive value with other support, shared services teams, platform and business stakeholder
• Knowledge of change management activities and assisting stakeholders in end to change request procedur
• Knowledge of banking and financial markets is must

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience of 3-10 years in service delivery/banking organization.
• CI/CD setup experience with knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Maven, Python, Jira, AppDynamics etc.
• Experience with Cloud technologies like Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services etc.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of tracking tools like JIRA, RTC, Confluence, Sharepoint.
• Basic understanding of Oracle/PostgresSQL/MongoDB, IBM WebSphere Application Server, MQ.
• Good understanding of ITIL - Incident, Change, Problem management with hands-on Service Now experience.
• Proven ability to communicate between the business and technical teams as well as analyzing, resolving and/or escalating problems.
