BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in a technical position; Requires minimum of 5+ years of experience in a technical position.
- Knowledge or experience with system administration, and troubleshooting any operating system (Linux and/or Windows) Expert level knowledge or experience with troubleshooting networking issues using several tools (traceroute, mtr, ping, iperf, dig/nslookup, cURL, tcpdump/wireshark and related).
- Strong knowledge of the Media Layer of the OSI Model (Physical, Data Link, and Network) components and troubleshooting; Good knowledge of Networking (HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, IPSEC) and routing protocols (BGP); Good Knowledge of network security (SSL/TLS, Network- and Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Services)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) within technical and business settings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge/experience in configuring and supporting devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, SonicWALL, Checkpoint, Palo Alto etc.; Knowledge/experience in configuring VLANs and troubleshooting ARP related issues; Knowledge/ Troubleshooting experience of BGP routing protocol; Good Knowledge of Networking Layer-1-3 components and troubleshooting; Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications; Experience configuring software-based Load Balancing solutions.
- Experience with end to end application monitoring, tracing and alerting using tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus etc.; Experience working with ISPs/Colocation providers
- Good understanding of security best practices; Good understanding of distributed computing environments and methodologies
