You will be responsible for the development and last-level support of an existing ELT solution based on Matillion & Snowflake. The solution is heavily customized due to the variety of media involved (different databases, internal and external APIs, and so forth), hence you will work intensively with Python and Jython. In the longer term you will assist on a mix of existing and new solutions based on Matillion & Snowflake.

You will work with a 2nd level DevSecOps team that will help you with keeping the business running smoothly, with you being their technical escalation point. You will need to address emergencies by involving the correct teams and keep track of their progress to report back to our BU colleagues, and once done you will seek opportunities to make your colleagues in 2nd level DevSecOps team able to deal with it by themselves next time.

When working on a new solution, you will work directly with stakeholders in the BUIT team, collaborate with them to understand their non-technical requirements and transform them into a concrete design. You will work alongside a Project Manager, a Product Manager and the DevSecOps team to architect this solution, create the appropriate documentation (SRS, Ops Manual, Release Notes) and share the knowledge. You will participate to the Release to Production process to ensure your solution gets deployed smoothly.

In the long term, you may be involved with new technologies such as Airflow, DataBricks, or Azure Data Factory, to expand your skillset and diversify the solutions you can work with.
