What will your day look like?

  • Engineer and test solutions for Data Mesh Platform on Google Cloud Platform using existing patterns, tools, and frameworks  to deliver medium enhancements independently, and make key contributions to complex changes with some supervision

  • Deliver small enhancements independently or complex changes with team

  • Actively participate in source code management, peer-reviews, and CI/CD automation to ensure the quality, security and consistency of delivered solutions

  • Develop basic automation of repeatable tasks

  • Provide ongoing support for platforms as required e.g. problem and incident management.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 1-2 years of experience with building modern applications utilizing GCP services like Cloud Build, Cloud Functions/ Cloud Run, GKE, Logging, GCS, CloudSQL & IAM.

  • 1-2 years of working experience in Python (Good to have experience with a secondary language such as Golang or Java).

  • Experience working with Terraform

  • You place a high emphasis on Software Engineering fundamentals such as code and configuration management, CICD/Automation and automated testing.

  • Contributed towards designing scalable and robust solutions leveraging cloud-native technologies and architectures.

  • Demonstrate an awareness of the financial impacts of solution options

  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to advocate and guide in ANZ's best practice of core concepts, design patterns, architecture patterns, engineering practices and principles.

  • Working with operations, security, compliance and architecture groups to develop secure, scalable and supportable solutions.
